From YWCA:

Those who know Eleanor Langemach say she has made every space her feet have touched more beautiful. Through her passions including community service, international diplomacy, faith, education, and gardening, she has created a mark of lasting inspiration on so many lives.

Eleanor graduated from St. Joseph Junior College in 1946 and went on to earn a degree through the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism in 1948. That same year, she married her husband Vernon with whom she had two wonderful children. She now enjoys six very well-loved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her service to the citizen of St. Joseph, the state of Missouri and the nation reflect hands that are willing to work and a heart that is motivated by relationships/ Eleanor’s working life included administrative work, advertising and copy writing. Her volunteer career spans even broader horizons.
