At Francis Street First we invite you to experience God and express your faith through a traditional and blended way of worship. The traditional worship service is celebrated at FSF at 10:45 am and includes a greeting, responsive reading, opening prayer, time for people to greet each other, scripture readings, silent prayer and meditation, the Lord’s Prayer, an offering, a children’s message, the sermon, special music and hymns, a closing prayer, and a benediction (sending people out with a blessing). Get a copy of the service bulletin at the entrance and find the responses in the bulletin. Our bulletins are visitor friendly to help those who are unfamiliar with United Methodist worship.
Communion is served at both services on the first Sunday of the month. All are invited to celebrate communion, but you can choose whether or not you wish to participate. If you have some mobility issues, our communion stewards can bring communion to you. There will be some differences in the services from time to time depending on the Christian Calendar. Our liturgists and the pastor will guide you through the service to make you feel at home.
Our blended service starts at 8:45 am in the Chapel. Ek Bruhn, the Early Service Music Director provides the praise style music. To enter the Chapel follow the signage and the banners. Our greeters will help you to find the Chapel and invite you to get some refreshments in the Kemper Hall.
